Smoken’ Joe’s BBQ was the proud official caterer ( 2 Wednesdays ago ) for a special private show at The Roxy, where The Bravery were promoting their new CD, The Sun and The Moon.  They sounded pretty good, not quite the Blues, but they definitely know how to eat.

To kick off our newly available catering services, we provided some 500 concert goers with a bit of our fine Memphis BBQ.  We’ll have a special catering menu up and posted here soon.  If you can’t wait ’til then just give us a call, 617-254-5227.

By now the talented Shirley Lewis has graced us with enough performances for us to dub her our official house band.  She’s not going anywhere anytime soon but we always have room for one more.  We plan to have a few other musicians drop by in the future and so we thought we’d made it easier to keep track of everything with the addition of our new events calendar.

We will be having blues every Friday and Saturday night. Shirley, our artist in residence, will play with her band and be bringing in guest artists.  Shirley has brought soul to Boston and the reception has been overwhelming.  We’ve caught a few of her performance on video so you can see and hear.  Don’t forget, Shirley also hosts our Sunday Morning Gospel Brunch.

Smoken’ Joe’s is the place where southern blues meets southern BBQ.  Come on down and stay awhile.
